Bergen Historic Books, Inc.
www.bergenhistoricbooks.com
We are pleased to offer a fine selection of quality reprints
and limited editions. Our collection of books focuses on the
history and genealogy of the early residents of Northern New
Jersey and Southern New York. We have tried to identify and
make available important out-of-print works, as well as new
publications, including church, cemetery, and census records,
Genealogies and Vital Records, wills and deed abstracts, a
large selection of Histories & Indexes as well as Used and/or
Antiquarian books. New titles come out regularly and are
featured as New Listings for 2003. Many of these important
works have been long out-of-print and are extremely expensive
and very fragile in the original. Our reprints - many of which
are exclusively ours offer readers and researchers equally
fine, new books. Most are printed on acid-free paper and are
bound in library buckram (cloth) binding. We also offer many
limited editions and used books not listed in our catalogs.
Let us know your interests and we will contact you when we
have something that might fit your needs.

Genealogy Warehouse -
www.genealogical.com/genealogy_warehouse.asp
During the 1930s and '40s, Jules
Chodak, the company founder, frequented book
auctions and amassed a sizable
collection of rare and out-of-print books pertaining to
general Americana. He advertised his
acquisitions in a series of catalogues and
canvassed book dealers hoping
to interest them in his hard-to-find titles. Eventually
trading as the Southern Book Company,
he moved his office and stock out of his home to a location in downtown
Baltimore, Maryland. Clearfield Company was established in
1989, to market and distribute
Genealogical Publishing Company's
overruns and remainders.
Since the early 1990s it has also published original and
out-of-print titles that have a slightly more
specialized focus in the fields of genealogy, local history, folklore, and Americana. Clearfield publishes more
than 200 titles each year, and it has made
available more than 750 discount reprints that otherwise would
remain out of print. Over the years, GPC and
Clearfield have published more than 2000 books and
CDs. Search or browse our titles, or read our
online book,
Val Greenwood's Researcher's Guide to
American Genealogy.
